A friend of mine asked me to join him for lunch at Frenchie's Bar & Grill, because he felt like eating a Montreal smoked meat sandwich with a small poutine. I had the Montreal smoked meat poutine. The food was delicious, it wasn't as good as Schwartz's smoked meat, but it was close enough considering that we are in Florida and that smoked meat doesn't exist here! Isabelle our server was super nice, she was efficient and professional. She came more than a few times to ask us if everything was fine. The ambiance is comfortable. Why four stars, it's simply overpriced! My bill was 27.00$ and my friend's 33.00$, that's 45.00$ Canadian for a smoked meat sandwich, a small poutine and a coke. It's frankly exaggerated! Best of luck next summer when the snowbirds will be back home. I'm American, the currency rates don't affect me, but for Canadians, that's another story. Now for my French Canadian friends!

Ok where do I start , I came here on a whim after driving by this place a few times this week . I saw the grand opening sign and pulled up . Then I checked the reviews and saw that no one had reviewed this place in a while . I take my reviews seriously and hope you enjoy this one . The chef / owner - James is extremely friendly. He's Italian and Canadian , and cares deeply about his passion for cooking . He and I spoke for a while and shared our passion for food together. The waitress was super sweet as well , Sandra . She sat me at the bar and immediately asked when I ordered , "why plain ? I don't think it's going to be good .."she said , So I thought to be authentic to this review I should order it just the way it comes . And I did , "A Montreal sub the way it comes please ! " Sandra turned away with a told you so look in her eyes .... A few minutes later ....James came out with this beautiful sandwich.....I grabbed it and immediately noticed that the bread was toasted and it's crust was on point . Getting into it the flavors of the peppers and tomatoes with the soft bed of lettuce blended perfectly with the steak and pepperoni . What made me levitate off my chair was this vinegar like tomato sauce.. I died Lord , this was truly an amazing meal . I went freaking nuts . This was the best sub I ever ate . Perfectly toasted - amazing flavors. I really love it and can't wait to make time for coming here again . The ambiance is a nice open space with window views on both sides . The bar is very comfortable as well with no bad smells from the well like some bars . Clean throughout . Nice music too. Look forward to hearing the live bands one night . This place is truly a Gem , I would definitely not let the Canadian influences miss your chance to experience the Montreal Sub , the people are very sweet just give them a shot . I spoke after with James the owner , he stated that you must love what you do , and I can actually taste that in his sandwich. You should try it too ! Update *** spoke with James he will be closing the restaurant down ending in August for about a month or 2 , to make room for a larger kitchen as he's going to be open year round ! So please if you missed , be patient. It's worth the wait .

I think that this place is delicious. I had the seafood pasta. Wish it had more seafood for the price but a good plate to share. The fries are real good- the salad as well

My wife and I came from the golf course and decided to eat out. We came across this place by accident. It is what people say. French Canadian. The food was great !!!! We both had a Filet Mignon, which was out of this world. And what a price !!!! Under $30 !!!! We were told it is a CHAIRMANS RESERVE cut. We definitely come back !!!

Hard to explain why I like this place so much. Grandpa always loved their oatmeal, and I was never interested in going because it seemed a little dumpy to me. Then my mom started going and convinced me to try it with her. Ever since, there's not a Florida visit where we don't stop here at least once. Always for breakfast. Always get oatmeal. The prices are ridiculous, and the food is always good. You get oatmeal, eggs, and pancakes or crepes or toast and coffee all for like 6 bucks. (This is just fuzzy memory right now... don't think there's a menu online. But trust me, it's a good deal.) Almost everyone inside, servers and patrons, are speaking French. We don't, but have never felt bad about it. Servers quickly switch to English as soon as we say "Hi" instead of "Bonjour". Really just a super charming place.
